Part 1:
1. I feel as if I have a fairly good grasp on Photoshop, but I feel like there is more that I could know. When I first started this course, I didn't know how to use it at all. Now I'm able to change the colors, size, add texture, and do multiple other things to manipulate pictures. I've become really good at layering things, which I honestly had no idea how to do before taking this class. There are still things I don't know how to do such as using the pen tool. All in all, I feel like I have good enough knowledge on the software to be able to achieve the wanted results.

The Parts of a Whole project has to be the most successful. I had a lot of fun making it, while learning how layer each image so that it created the image it was supposed to. I also had to merge many of the images or else I would have ended up with way more layers than I would have liked. I really put a lot of effort into this picture, or else I wouldn't have finished it in time trying to fit all of the characters into the image. It was also probably the most tedious project I had to do because I had to find each picture, remove the background, find a spot for it each time I added something new.
Part 2: How to make someone into a centaur
Step 1: First take either the polygonal lasso tool or the quick selection tool to select the area of the person you want to be morphed with the horse.
Step 1: First take either the polygonal lasso tool or the quick selection tool to select the area of the person you want to be morphed with the horse.
Step 2: Once you have moved the image over and its in the same file as the picture of the horse you want to use, lower the opacity of the layer that has the person. If you don't use separate layers both images will have there opacity lowered. This way you can line up the person with the body of the horse to your liking. When they are lined up, erase the areas of the horse that stick out behind the person.
Step 3: After you erase parts of the horse you may realize there are white spaces in the background. You can use the stamp tool by holding down ALT and pressing on a spot of the picture you want to copy. You can then fill in the missing parts of the picture. You can also do this if you want to change the texture of either the person's hair into the mane, or the horses mane into human hair.
Step 4: You may want to change the color of the persons clothing. What you can do is change the hue and saturation so that it comes close to being the same color. Quick select the area you want to change the color of. Then go to Image -> Adjustments -> Hue and Saturation.
Step 5: If you would like to change the texture of the mane, or hair to match each other, go to Filter -> Filter Gallery and choose whichever one works for you. You may also change the settings of each filter
Step 6. You can change the lighting so that both pictures match. Go to Image -> Adjustments -> Curves.
Step 7: Finally you can add a shadow to any part of the picture. You can do this by using the Burn tool.
Your final product should look similar to this :
